Thrifty Business

Hello you all! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer at a leisurely pace. I thought I'd stop in and show you all of my thrifty goodness that I found this week when I was out doing my thrifty business. By the way, if you have read my previous posts, just letting my readers know that all is well with my health issues that I spoke about. So anyway, here are my thrifty finds for this week. I literally spent maybe $30 dollars for all of this stuff.
These glass candle sticks I instantly fell in love with them because of the color, obviously. Their gorgeous. When I got them home and washed them up, I noticed that one is a little taller than the other. But when you have them setting on opposite sides of a table, who's going to notice? I ♥ aqua. It's my favorite color.

Look at these little salt & pepper shakers. So cute. Tried to clean the tops with silver polish cleaner but it didn't work much. But I still like them. The patina gives them a little history. I will probably start using them in the fall through the holidays. There maybe three inches tall.

I do have a small collection of antique white knick knacks. I don't know really what to call the stuff. But when I seen this lovely box with the flowers on top, I just had to pick it up.

I seen these cute little plates. I could probably use them for tea time for my little treats. Or a used tea bag. Their maybe 2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter. Their really small. I just love the carnations on them. I also love the color combination of pink and gray, always have.

I actually got this a couple of weeks ago but I forgot to post it. Again, it's a very small bowl and I will probably use it for little treats during tea time. I just love the little daisy's around the inside of the bowl. So pretty and dainty.

This bowl I couldn't resist with the roses on the front and the back. I did notice a little chip on the top when I got it home. But I'll still use it.

The back...

This bowl I liked the basket with flowers. Photo turned out a little blurry.

This little knick knack is similar to the one I just purchased. Again, I couldn't pass it up. Just look at their eyes. This cost 99 cents. When I got home and checked the receipt. It read .09 cents. The register lady must have thought she pressed the nine button two times but didn't. And because all collectible where 50% off that day, I got this cute knick knack for only 5 cents. Yep you heard me right. 5 cents.

I loved these little glass plates. Not a scratch or knick on them. I could use them for dainty cookies or something.

This is my favorite find for this week. When I seen it, I knew I wanted it and didn't care how much it cost. It yells out vintage doesn't it? Not a chip on this beauty. And the picture does not do the color of this plate justice. It really is pretty. So was the price...$5.

I love salad size plates because you can use them for desserts and for serving dishes as well. I'm always on the look out for these types of plates. Not looking for pairs either. I want them all different. Even if I do see a set, I'll only grab one and that's it. The bottom left one is a peach color.
This is a full size plate. I'm starting to get into different full size dinner plates to. But, I want them all different. No sets. I just loved the vintage look to this floral pattern.
This is the size of a salad plate but these fancier ones I think of them as dessert plates. And I'm always on the look out for these as well but have such a hard time finding these in my neck of the woods. So when I see one that I like, I jump at them. Again, this is done in the pink and gray color combo that I like so much.
So there you have it. Like I said, I paid like $30 dollars for all of this stuff. This is stuff that I will use. All of my thrifty stuff that I get, I use. Even the tea cups. Someone asked me if I use the the collectible tea cups. Heck yeah. What's the point of buying all of this stuff if your not going to use it or display it. I can't wait to use my platter plate up there with the silver handle. It's so pretty.
Hope you all are enjoying some lazy days this summer sipping on some iced tea. I ♥ summer. Ahhh.....
Oh yeah....
