Thrifty Shopping

In spite of me running around and getting ready for a huge graduation party, I did manage to hit a couple of my thrifty stores this week. I couldn't miss a week of not going, lol.
The shelves were full but I really didn't see to much this time. But I did pick up some things and I'd thought I'd show you.
I found this little Holly Hobby plate. I'm really starting to like Holly Hobby. It reminds me of being a little girl and of course my sister and I each had the doll. I don't know if you can read the writing on the plate but it reads, "Love is the little things you do." How true is that? Just had to get it.

The yellow plate was $2 and the little green one was only 1 dollar.
I love amber glassware. These are little square bowls. I can see using them for salads or for dips. 2 bucks each.

These are jelly and marmalade jars with lids. The lids have a little opening where the little spoons are suppose to be. The little spoons weren't in the box. So I'll have to keep my eye out for some little spoons when I'm out thrifty shopping. But I love these. I thought that these were so pretty. You could even use one for jelly and the other for mock devonshire cream for your scones. Wouldn't that be pretty? The set was $3.

I also just picked up a few small vases. The one in the center I want to use for small bouquets. And the little bud ones I would like to use them to put single roses in them. The ones on the ends were 1 dollar each and the one in the center was like 2 or 3 bucks, I can't remember.

I just had to make a quick stop to my antique shop. I finally found a vintage purse for my china cabinet. I already picked up the gloves a few weeks ago. And I knew I wanted to set them on a vintage purse. So glad I found one but this little beauty was $8. And that is one of the cheaper ones that they had. But I like it. It's pretty much what I was looking for.

I know I wanted a poodle knick knack. They are highly collectible. I did find one at the antique shop. To me is was a little pricey for this little girl but, I just had to have it. ;-) This little pooch set my back $12.50. But now I have one. Na, na, na, na, na naaaa. It's cute though isn't it? My dog does the same thing when she wants to play. She puts her butt in the air.

When I seen this at the thrifty store. I grabbed it. It is exactly what I need for my mantle at Easter time. I really didn't have to much setting up there this past Easter and knew that I would have to get something next year. That's why I grabbed this when I seen it. It's perfect for my mantle. It's over a foot long. It has these cute little bunnies swinging from the tree. And the swings do move. When I checked the price I couldn't believe that it was only $4!! I hate to buy things for the holidays because I have to put them away. But I will be so happy to have this next year when I'm decorating for Easter.

Last but not least, I found this picture for only $3. I hung it in my office/parlour.
Well, I guess I did get alot this week. I probably won't be able to post anything till next week. I will be busy over the weekend because of my son's graduation party and it being Father's Day on Sunday.
So with that, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
I'm signing off.....from Peek-A-Boo Street!
