This kit came with two pillowcases but I'm not interested in making the other one at this time. Did you happen to notice my initials? Maybe my great great great grandchildren will want to keep it. Or they might even want to throw it into the garbage, who knows. They may see it as old junk. But anyway, I think 'with love AMG' still has time to link up to Fiona's Green Day. And I think I can because of the green leaves on my cross stitch. It's easy. Every Friday just post a picture with something green and link up! Easy as pie. Fiona is from Ireland and has a beautiful blog and she too is as sweet as pie.
Well, my vintage towels are in the dryer. I have to iron out the wrinks and get ready to iron on the transfer for my next project. I'm so excited. It suggested what colors to use and what stitches to use. Easy as pie right? Well we'll see about that.
With that,
I'm signing off.........from Peek-A-Boo Street!
P.S. Sorry about the last pic. I couldn't close that gap between pictures for the life of me.
What an intricate pattern for a pillowcase! I love it! I'm not sure if I 'd let anyone sleep onit, though!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoyingbthe weekend! ;)
Your finished pillowcase is beautiful. I know your towels will turn out as just as pretty . Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I think you should use and enjoy it, then let the great great grandchildren have it when it's worn out, it will still be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGood for you finishing at least the one pillowcase. It's beautiful. When my ex-husband's Nonny passed away, I got some unfinished projects that were at her house -- embroidered pillowcases were one of them, but I never did them. I wonder if I still have them stored away somewhere. I definitely would do them now. Look forward to seeing what you create next. Take care! Tammy
ReplyDeleteEinse sehr schöne Arbeit...

Queste tue rose ricamate sono proprio un amore!Baci,Rosetta
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work you do, Anne! I wish I had the patience for a project like that! I know your pillowcase will be treasured for many years. I always hunt for vintage pillow cases at garage sales. They have the most amazing crocheted edges, and beautiful needlework. Good to meet a fellow Michigander!
ReplyDeleteThat is very pretty pillowcase. It's hard to know what a generation or more will appreciate down the line, so I hope you enjoy your lovely handiwork.
ReplyDeleteYour pillowcase is beautiful! I love the way you "signed" your work of art, and will remember to do this if I ever finish my simple embroidery projects!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! OH, your cross stitched pillow case is beautiful. I know that's a lot of work. I love the colors you've used too. I used to cross stitch up a storm until I nearly went blind! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
