My New China Cabinet

Good evening fellow bloggers. I have some great news. My dear husband bought me a china cabinet for mother's day. I was strolling through my antique shop (my second home), and I seen this china cabinet. The price was awesome and my ole hubby (lovely hubby) gave me the go-ahead! So here she sits in my living room for now.

Whatcha think? I reassured my husband that this one won't look as girly as my other china cabinet. It's started out with just some serving dishes I purchased through my thrifty shopping excursions. But I couldn't seem to help myself. I just had to put my new tea cups some where. =) Gee...what's the point of a new china cabinet if a girl can't put her tea cups in there? I'm surely not going to put tools it. In fact, my hubby said that he could use the bottom drawer for his remote controls. I assure you ladies, he will not be doing that. I told him that that was out of the question. He's just going to have to find some other place for his remote controls and they will not be going in my new china cabinet. Sorry honey. But I have to draw the line somewhere.
So come on. Here's a peek inside...

I seen this silver platter thrifty shopping. Isn't is beautiful? I know that I have to polish it up, but the sides look so ornate doesn't it? I kind of like it all tarnished. It gives it patina. That's the look I've been going for. If it looks like it came out of grandma's attic...then I ♥ it!! Cause all of this junk I have is getting passed down to my great grandchildren one day.
The beautiful candle sticks were a gift from my Mom & Dad, in-law. I believe it was a birthday gift, but dear me, I can't remember right now. But that's what I love about silver. Different pieces look like they could be a set. So of course, I have my eye on a tea set. I've seen a few.
Check out the Mother's Day card my sweet husband gave me...

This laminated Mother's Day greeting came from my youngest son who made it at school. I just laughed. It was so sweet. I got a lot of cards and flowers and gifts for Mother's Day but this was my favorite. I wanted to share it with you.

I hope all you Mom's out there had a wonderful mother's day.
I'm signing off.......from Peek-A-Boo Street!
