Tea Time!

I've got the clothes hanging out on the clothesline and a good start on my housework. Now I'm going to go out and enjoy my afternoon tea out on my patio. I want to soak up this beautiful weather we've been having before the rain comes. I finished reading 'The Road.' It was a pretty good book. I liked it. I liked it because it was different then any other book I read before. Some people have different opinions about it though. Now I'm reading 'The Revolutionary Road.' It's a book that was written in the 1960's by Richard Yates who has died in 1992. The movie already came out in theatres just recently starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. I have not seen the movie yet but would like to. It seems like the books I have been choosing lately are the ones that are out with a major motion picture. And the book is just, OK. But still readable.
So with that, I'm going to grab my tea, my sunglasses and my book and head on out to the patio. I hope that you all are having a good week.
P.S. Don't you just love this big tea cup & saucer? My daughter and her family got it for me for my birthday. I just love it. It holds a lot of tea!

  1. Now I need a cup of tea...and maybe a shopping trip to buy a cute cup and saucer!

  2. I'm glad you like your tea cup! :) Enjoy your time outside before it rains!

Already raining here AGAIN.. so no hanging clothes outside today for me..
Love your foggy train track pic.

  4. Hope you enjoyed your tea and being outside. We have been having rain almost everyday here. Love your new header and side bar. Have a great day. Madeline

  5. Oooo, looks and sounds lovely!

Our tea time is in a few minutes, it has also been raining the past few days, but for now we have some sunshine.

Think I will also go and soak up some rays with a cup of tea as it is really starting to get chilly cold here!

Your tea cup and saucer are so beautiful! A cup of tea sounds so good ♥ I too love your new header and sidebar. I hope you have a beautiful day.

  7. Beautiful tea cup & saucer! I am happy to read that you are starting another book to read. Seems we both like reding. Though mine are the "True Crime" books! Don't ask me why. LOl Maybe I will blog about it one day.
BTW I love the music you have playing and your new background oicture of the train tracks!
As for rain~~~~~~well we just got back from Myrtle Beach and it seems that the weather here at home has been nothing but rain... At least for the last couple of days. Some of it quite nasty too. At least I am hoping for a nicer weather outlook for Mother's Day weekend.
Well got to go. Look for my post about my trip in the next day or two. Take care and enjoy your cup of tea & book!

  8. Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day! Thinking about you!
