Then last night I finished up with dinner early so I decided to do a little shopping. I couldn't find any tea cups to add to my collection but I did find a teapot for everyday use. I don't want to use the one my Mother-In-Law (Mom) gave me all of the time because I just don't want to take the chance of it getting broke. But here is the one that I bought tonight for...$7.99 at Home Goods.
Isn't it cute with the crown on it?
Then I seen this plate to add to my dessert plate collection. My plate collection is very small. This is my third plate. It was only $3.99.
Isn't that dessert plate so pretty? I don't know if you can tell in the pic but the border kind of has a marble look to it. And the trimming is done in a gold color. I noticed that the items that I have been picking out has a floral motif to them. I guess that's what I'm leaning towards.
I know that it must look like I'm a material type of person with these last posts but I'm not. It will probably take me years to purchase an item as huge as my china cabinet. That's why I posted it. I guess because I'm proud of it.
Believe me, this blog isn't in the least about bragging. Like I said before...I'm a lucky girl. =)
Tomorrow I will show you my china cabinet with my tea cup collection in it. I also want to show you the before and after pictures since I cleaned and polished it up. Have a great evening.
Of course....I'm signing off....from Peek-A-Boo Street!
Everything is lovely but I must say that the beautiful dessert plate is my favorite. I love the floral motif and the gold trim.

I just love, love, love all of your stuff that you have been getting lately! Yay! another plate for your collection, how exciting! I think it is beautiful, I love the green! I don't know why, but I really like green lately for some reason. Oh and of course the tea cup and saucer are cute as well!
ReplyDeleteAww I would be proud and show my new stuff off too (I always do lol) and I don't think it's at all that you're materialistic and bragging. I really think you're just so tickled you got the new stuff that you can't wait to show us. I for one am very happy you're showing us! It's all so beautiful! And it's obvious how happy it makes you to get something simple like a $10 cup and saucer (not to mention that I could practically feel you crying over the china cabinet because you love it so much). I'm proud for you ♥ And I think you find GREAT deals..if I ever go antique shopping in Michigan I'm calling you first!
ReplyDeleteI do love it all,but I am a Tea Cup person too. I hate it had a crack. When I sold in a store if it had anything wrong always wrote as is on my tag.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame it was cracked but its very pretty...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your display.
All your finds are just beautiful. I hate that the saucer was cracked. The seller should have had a note on the tag it was cracked, that is what most sellers do here. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh Anne you have found some beautiful things. I just can't wait to see the cabinet
