Dessert @ Granny's

There are some more smiling faces over here again on Peek-A-Boo Street this evening. The grandchildren are just lovin' these cool summer treats. I think that the best desserts are the most simplest of desserts. I'll even go further and say that they look the most appealing too. Simple is good. It reminds me of my childhood. All you need is Jell-O, and Cool Whip....

And this Granny is smiling cause I got to use two sets of thrift find dishes this weekend. I've been wanting to use them. I got to use those ice cream float glasses last night and these dessert bowls tonight. =)
I'm signing off......from Peek-A-Boo Street!

  1. What a delightful and delicious treat! I am making it tonight - 10 calories in the jello and only 25 calories in the whipped cream. Thanks for the reminder!!!

  6. Oh Anne, they look lovely.

If you put an orange sweetie on top
it would be like an Irish National treat!

Hope you having a good time with you

  9. Very pretty!
You know, my favorite dessert as a child was Jell-o Chocolate Pudding topped with whipped cream! And my Mom would put it in these pretty little dessert cups that looked very much like yours. It was such a treat!

I'll bet your grandkids will hold this as a special memory too!
    All the best,
    Eileen

Your green jello with whip cream is perfect.

  11. I agree. Simple is great, and so is jello. When you serve it in a festive dish, it's even better. I can see why you had some smiling grands.

  12. Simple is simply the best! :) When my youngest son asks for me to make something for his class at school, his choice is either brownies or jello with fruit cocktail. I know my kids would love a rootbeer float. Happy mid-week to you! Tammy
