Actually this post is about a quick little summer tip that came from my Mother which I have since passed on to my family. I tell my kids that it's 'ancient Grandma's secret.' Those pesky mosquito bites. Everyone hates them. And the itching and the stinging can be unbearable at times. You just want to scratch and scratch until your skin bleeds right? But you don't have to do that anymore. I got a quick cure. All you need is rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. That it!
Okay with that said,
I'm signing off.............from Peek-A-Boo Street.
Thanks for sharing this tip with us. I am certainly going to try it. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! I will have to remember that just in case any of us gets bitten on our vacation this year.
ReplyDeleteYou have cute legs! Your way beats my way, which is to just stay in the house away from mosquitoes, ha-ha.
ReplyDeleteGood tip! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy dad uses vinegar because the smell helps keep mosquitoes away and the irritation lessens too. However the smell can also be annoying to human beings, so I'll start using your tip from now on!
Enjoy the week!
Your legs look like mine, but mine are a fuller and my toes are wearing silver polish!!

Hello Anne...That's so good to know! Thanks. Susan
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! We've been having an especially bad problem with mosquitoes this summer so I appreciate this!
ReplyDeleteI've also found that using Avon Skin So Soft products is a big deterrent to mosquitoes. My problem is that I don't know anybody anymore who sells Avon (remember when the Avon Lady used to come door-to-door?). So since I've lost the 'bite battle' it's good to have your tip!
Also, loved your flowering vine in the last post! What a pretty sight! Thanks for sharing that.
All the best,
Eileen
This also works for ant bites - of which there are a very many in our area! Happy to visit and now become your newest follower,

that's a great tip to pass on.....thank you! I'll tell my daughters about this!!
ReplyDeleteWe usually have mosquitoes during the winter months, but definitely not now when it is so hot. My kids are allergic to mosquitoes and really swell up when they get bitten. They don't seem to bother with me at all. Have a great week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteWe live in the buggy muggy south so this would have really come in handy when my girls were growing up. I had never heard this secret but will remember it now!
