It's Snowing! **

Welcome to the second part of my Christmas in July. I have been collecting the 'Snow Village Department 56' for about 14 years. My Mom-in-law started my collection when I quit smoking. I never started up again either, thank God! She let me pick out my very first one and told me that I could choose from any series that I'd like to. She's very sweet that way. I love her dearly and she's my best friend too. I chose the church to be my first building.
I use to keep these things on my kitchen counter for years during the Christmas holiday. I was just simply running out of room and was becoming afraid to even set them up on my kitchen counter for fear that one would get broken by a dropped plate or something. Then my hubby came up with the idea of putting up some plastic white shelves and tying them together. We now had the room to do that since we've gotten a smaller dining room table. I just cut some of that felt snow and voila! I cut it so it would hang low behind the shelves to hide the cords. I finally had a safe place to set them up.

This is the church I mentioned...

And there you have it, my Snow Village collection. I do have a photo with the lights on at night but it wasn't of good quality. So maybe this Christmas I can snap a pic in the evening for you. As you can imagine, it does take some time to set up. But when it's up, it's so nice to enjoy for the whole month of December. I just love it.
I just want to say thank you to my new followers and to my others who continue to read my blog. You all have beautiful blogs and I am honored that you'd stop in to read mine. I appreciate the time you give to leave a comment. Cause let's face it, we have a lot of blogs that we want to visit. I love to read each and every one of your comments.
It's snowing here....yeah right. We're in another heatwave. I do live in the north right? I mean, not North Pole north...but North. Yep, that's right.
I'm signing off..........from Peek-A-Boo Street.

    1. Denise thanks for leaving a comment and following my blog. =) It's so nice to meet new bloggers. I think I got that camper years ago at a Hallmark store. The village series is 'Snow Village' and it's by Department 56. You can probably find this maybe on line, I'm thinking. Have a nice evening.
