Hot, Hot, Hot!

Hot. Very hot. That's the topic here in Michigan with no relief in sight.

That's not even including the heat index which is 105-110 degrees today. When it's this hot all you can do is stay inside and reach for essentials to help you get through. I'm sticking with a very simple breakfast. Ice water and fresh crisp fruit.

I'm so glad that I did my grocery shopping yesterday. I'm so grateful to have air conditioning. I hope that the people who don't have air conditioning can find some relief through family and friends or through their community. These a very dangerous temps. I won't be letting my Peeper girl (mini Schnauzer) out that much today either.
Well I hope things cool off pretty soon. Last week it dropped down into the 80's. It's pretty bad when you think of 80 degree temperatures being cool.
I'm signing off..........from Peek-A-Boo Street.

  1. During the real hot days here in Alabama they had people donating air conditioners for those you had none and could not afford to buy one for themselves. It is a program called neighbors in need. I am so glad we have central air and heat and a pool to cool off in. Have a blessed day and stay cool. Madeline

Hot Hot Hot here too.. was up to 112 one week and that's actual temp. Are you still hanging clothes out to dry? I've been trying to since its great weather for them but seriously I'm beginning to think it's too hot to even hang early morning and take down late night because it's still so hot out there... I'm so tempted to just use the dryer :)
Take care and stay cool my blogger friend.

  9. Dearest Anne,
Oh wow!!! It is close to 40℃ it sure is the dangerous level, isn't it☆☆☆ In Japan, also suffering from high heat and rainy season will over in no time here. (haha, no weeding outside in daytime).
Take Care of Yourself and stay cool,
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

  10. At 11 am here, it is already 111 degrees. Wonder what that makes the heat index since we don't have grass and trees and no shade to speak of. It's also turned very humid. Only 8% which folks in the States don't think is high, but when our temperatures are as hot as they are, it doesn't take much humidity to make it really sticky out there. One second outside and my glasses (and camera) fog up right away. Our night time temps are about 90 so no cooling off for us. Years ago a friend of ours made the mistake of taking his dog out for a walk during the summer; the pads of the dog's feet actually burned off and he had to go to the vet to get a salve for them and keep them wrapped. I feel sorry for all those little feral cats we have running the streets -- I give them food several times a day and make sure there is water for them. Stay cool and have a great day. Tammy

  11. Yep....it's hot here too! I don't even want to go outside to water the plants. Good news is, we're heading for the mountains Saturday! Woohoo! Then coming back to start all of the hard work! As usual, you are so sweet to stop by and leave a comment. I appreciate it so much! Denise

  12. Lemon flavored water, watermelon and berries are a great idea when it gets this hot and no one feels like eating anything anyway.
