Today is one year that I have been blogging! Woo hoo! I've so much enjoyed it. And most of all, I've enjoyed meeting new friends here in blogland.
There are so many blogs & the authors of them, who have inspired me in so many ways. There are some really beautiful blogs out there that are worth visiting every day.
I know for your blog anniversary that people usually have a give-a-way. Well since just recently I haven't had many readers, I chose not to have one at this time. But lately my followers have been picking up.
I was so surprised and so touched that so many people would want to follow my blog. A give-a-way is something that I will be thinking about in the future.
I don't have a goal to get 200 followers. But it's nice when you do have some fans out there who are genuinely interested in your blog. Lets be real. Everyone likes comments. =) I know I do! It makes you feel good as a blogger.

When I first starting blogging, I thought, no one is reading it right now anyway so I can say what I want.
Then as you continue on with blogging, I have to say, I stayed true to myself and blogged about what I wanted to blog about.
And then, I have to times, I've been stumped on what to write about. But if I don't have nothing to say, I won't blog for a few days. That's just become my style to blogging. I don't put demands on myself that I have to have a post done every single day. I just don't worry about that.
Sometimes I worry that I may lose my readers but, I've seen in the past year that if their interested, they'll be back.
And trust me, I'm not tooting my own horn and saying that I'm in any way a good writer. But I'm so honored that there are people who are genuinely interested in my blog. And who leave me comments on a regular basis.
This is probably a good time to say thank you for the new followers who have began following me just within the past two or three weeks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so touched. And all of your comments are so sweet. ♥
And I love all of your blogs. You all have such beautiful blogs.
There was a time when I thought about throwing in the towel about blogging. I am such a private person. And your blog is out there for everyone to see. That is why I don't post pic's of myself or my family on my blog. I'm sure you all noticed. But that's just me. That's how I do things. Well maybe one day, I'll post my picture so you can all know what I look like. I like to see pics of other people on their blog, because then you get to put a face with their blogs. It does make it nice to see.
Thanks again to each and every one of you, for being such sweet fans of my blog over this past year. Yes, I'm going to do it again........
I'm signing off...........from Peek-A-Boo Street!

  4. Hi Anne, Congratulations on blogging for a year now! Amazing, isn't it, how we tell so much to people we don't even know. Then there are the fortunate few who actually get to meet each other in person! Believe me it is so much fun!

Don't worry about losing followers or seeing only a few comments- so many times, even with the "big blogs" the amount of followers in comparison to the amount of comments being made is so disproportionate. And then there are always the lurkers who just read but don't comments...

We can all feel that we are not reaching anyone with our blogging, but ultimately, your loyal readers will stay with you because you have made a connection with them. Stay true to yourself and you should be just fine! Sue

  5. Happy Anniversary!

I think as you get comfortable, and get to know your fellow bloggers, you might feel differently about posting pictures.
I know my sister is always warning me about the dangers of blogging, and I know she's right, but so far I've been Blessed. No problems yet.
She also mentioned to me about posting pictures of my grandkids, but I know my daughter-in-law used to have my granddaughter modeling and her picture was in national magazines, you can't get anymore 'out there' than that! I know for sure there aren't THAT many people viewing my little blog!

Just do whatever you feel comfortable with. Not everyone shares pictures. That's one thing I've actually loved about blogging, you really get to know the spirit of a person! It has absolutely nothing to do with physical attributes, it is so much more!

Anyway, I'm new to your blog, but I've been enjoying it so much!
    All the best,

  6. Howdy Anne
Congratulations to you on your first blog anniversary .
    Wow a whole year.
    That is so amazing.
It is really hard to imagine blogging for a year when you first start upon this pathway. Somehow reality sets in and life takes over and before you know it the time just zooms by.
I am so happy for you and so blessed that I happened upon your blog .
Actually I believe God had a hand in my stumbling into your sweet blog.
Thank you for adding your prayers with that of others for sweet Amy Dawn.
Debbie is really going to need her family, friends, and blogging community in the days to come.
Blessings of joy to you as you continue to blog.

  9. Hi Anne! Congrats on your blogversary! Aren't you glad you hung inthere. I think it is like that for most of us when we first start out. butit has been worth th leap. I have met so many wonderful people and even met a few personally and they are just as awesome in the flesh! Thanks for blogging...Pam!

  10. Hey ! Congrats Anne ! You are doing a great job blogging .

  11. A whole year already? Congratulations! I just started blogging this past March and not sure I have enough fun things to blog about for a full year but I am just having fun reading so many interesting things that people do or seeing different areas of the world from my cozy chair. Which reminds me I should get out of this chair now and head for the dreaded gym or else I will be blogging about how fat I am:)

  12. Congratulations on your Blogversary. Please don't feel the pressure to have a give-away. A simple thank you post is sufficiant in my opinion. In this tough economy it is often hard to get a gift together and then the postage is outragous. I used to host give-aways when I blogged before so I know whereof I speak.

I love blogging friendships, but like you I lean toward the private side. I have a private blog for my family, pictures galore...I may post a picture on the blog during the Christmas season of me and Hubby or my family...and that is enough for me.

Keep up the good work, your blog is truly lovely!♥

  13. You have become a great friend. I enjoy your blog very much. Happy Anniversary. Thank you for your visit to my blog and all your very nice comments. Madeline

    Big Hugs,

  16. Hi Anne, Happy blog anniversary! I know you have left me some sweet comments and you are so right about them making a blogger feel good. I mainly started my blog so my extended family could read about my gardening and home life. So my blog is very personal and that works for me, but I know that some like to stay more private and I think that's good. That's what I love about this blogging, we each have a story to tell and it's good knowing that someone is hearing it. I too, am not a very frequent blogger, mainly because of time restraints. I have a lot to say but can't seem to always find the time to say it. I really enjoyed this post today and really enjoy your blog. The message you left me today meant a lot and I love knowing that you're out there.

  17. A whole year! Wow! Keeep it up. I love reading your blogs and thanks for stopping by mine and leaving nice notes. Blessings.

  18. Good morning my Luv, have is my favorite blogger doing today? Have yourself a wonderful day!!
