The Christmas Carol Movie
My family and I had the opportunity to see Disney's new movie, 'A Christmas Carol' over the Thanksgiving weekend.
I would give this movie five stars. My whole family just loved this time classic movie. And it was such a wonderful family movie. It really does set you in the mood for Christmas.
There were ghosts in the story so it probably wouldn't suit very young children around the age of four, I'd say. Infact, there was a toddler who got scared in the movie theatre who did start to cry.
My husband, teenage son, young son and I went to see the movie and we all just loved it.
The best part of the movie was that it was done in 3-D. I just love movies in 3-D.
When the movie first began, it showed you this old time bay window. It was like you were really looking out onto the streets. And when the snow was falling, it was like you were standing in the middle of a snow storm. All you had to do was reach out your hand. And then when scrooge was flying with one of the ghosts over the city, that was awesome. It felt like you were flying right along side of them. The 3-D effects in this movie really was spectacular. I'd even go see it again.
So I give this movie an awesome rating. If you were thinking of going to this movie during this holiday season, don't hesitate. You and your whole family will be glad you went. And you will walk away thinking what a great movie you just seen.
This is a great way to take a break from all of the hustle and bustle of the season.

Post Thanksgiving
I hope all of my bloggy family had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your loved ones. I did the honors of hosting Thanksgiving this year and I think it's safe enough to say that it was our families best year yet! It was so nice to be surrounded by my family and my extended family. And of course, my grandchildren were there. It was just so nice to all be together again.
But it goes by so fast, doesn't it?
Anyway, I wanted to share a cute poem that was in my church newspaper. Sorry this post is a little late. But if you read the previous post, I've had computer problems due to a virus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Twas the night of Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned-the dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
Gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees....
Happy eating to all - pass the cranberries, please.
May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious.
May your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!!
Holiday blessings to each and everyone of you! Love, Anne
Bah Humbug!
Please bare with me. I got a computer virus trying to catch some snow flakes, and I had to reboot my whole computer. Bah humbug! I'm having such difficulty trying to make a single post and my computer is moving so slowly as the updates slowly come in (big sigh, literally). It's taking me hours and hours to do one task. And with the holidays upon us, I just don't have the time to spend hours and hours on my blog. But I finally got all my home decorations finished today and my Christmas shopping is almost to an end. But theres still some baking and cards to write out. Ughh! Where is the joy in Christmas?! And when I mail out my Christmas cards, will they even care? There are a few people whom I am very close with and I am not speaking of them. Because I love them and there very much near and dear to my heart. But the others take time and............stamps. =)
But anyway, I hope the kick off to the 2009 Christmas season is going smooth for you all! I love you all! And thank you for following my blog!
